Srijan 2009 Client-centric Product or Service by an MFI Award:

Arohan Financial Services Ltd.


Arohan's Bazaar product won it the Srijan 2009 Client-centric Product/Service Award for reaching out to a new set of clients (men) by using a workplace intervention strategy. Proving that JLGs can be successfully formed with men in an urban occupational setting as well, Arohan has broken the time-tested rules of microfinance and is exploring new ways to make a social impact.

Srijan 2009 Emerging MFI Award:

Sahayata Microfinance Pvt. Ltd.


Within a short period of less than 3 years since its establishment, Sahayata has 57 branches and has reached out to over 100,000 customers across 5 states. With 3 products aimed at underpriveledged women with entrepreneural skills, Sahayata is implementing the Grameen model and making a success of it already!

Srijan 2009 Technology Innovation Award:

Vortex Engineering Pvt. Ltd.


Vortex's revolutionary low cost Gramteller ATM has brought down the capex by less than half, works well in a rugged non- AC environment and runs on solar energy, making money easily accesible in remote areas of our country. Currently being piloted by 15 banks across the country, Vortex aims to have atleast one ATM in every village of India.

Grama Vidiyal Micro Finance Ltd.


Grama Vidiyal's presentation had the jury convinced on their efficiency of field officers, customer satisfaction and transparent business practices and won them the Srijan 2009 MFI Transparency Award on December 8, 2009.
